There is no real 100% remote software any of us use.

If you are truly serious about getting into this game, then you will have to purchase a licence / seats (or 2), depending on how many techs you have working for you.

I know your a cheap company. Cheap as in you hardly charge anything. But that's no reason to give your clients a unsatisfactory service. By that I mean, you not having to pay anything to repair their machines.

If you join acrbo for instance, there are offers from the vast majority of the large(r) vendors.

It's not about whether it is free, as in no charge for a license. It's about whether you are following the terms and conditions of use. Many software packages, free or otherwise, have different terms for private/not for profit use versus for profit. So if you are charging someone while using it you may be in violation of the T&C's.

Ok, I will byte,

Why should I join acrbo? I have looked at their website but what have you gotten out of it?

Also, If a free software program accomplishes the same thing as a paid one then whats the difference? It sounds kinda Microsoftish to think that if you didnt pay for it then its not a good idea?

Im just saying...

coffee

I have been an ACRBO member for many years and have saved a lot of money with their discount programs.

If you look at most of the free software it will say not for commercial usage so technically you are using it illegally.

Why should you NOT join ACRBO? I've saved a chunk of money on Fab's, both version 4 and 5. Saved on ScreenConnect. Strongly considering PCRT, for which ACRBO offers a discount as well.
Also got another logo to put on my website, which whether people know what it means or not, still looks a wee bit more professional than without it.

Ok, I asked and now I got an answer.

Thank you.

I used ChunkVNC for a long time, I loved it. It is fully customizable, easy to use, easy to set up, had a lot of options as it was wrote in autoIT then(may still be, I have not used it in about 5 years). I used it in a time, when you had to do some modifications to get reboot and reconnect in safe mode to work, but that was also very easy, and it was 100% free to use for business use.

The place I work at now, uses LogMeIn, and I am getting ready to look for a different solution, as I do not really care for logmein, but would not consider ChunkVNC something I would leave on a managed clients system, due to the way the connections were routed, through the repeater.

I have used join.me on occasion, but thinking about firing my old server up, and setting Chunky back up!!!
