Set up an e-mail forward by using DNS only?

Okey, the client needs to use a simple info@thedomaintheyown.com but forward the e-mail to another e-mail provider such as username@gmail.com. The way I would usually do this is either:

1. Set up a forward inside info@thedomaintheyown.com, the problem here is that they do not have any e-mail solution for the domain only DNS
2. Let the gmail download mail through pop (not possible, same reason as above)
3. Do a domain alias (We cannot do this to gmail.com which is owned by google....)

Any solutions to this? Either a free hosting that allows custom domains or is it possible to somehow forward ALL mail to the domain by just using dns-records?

We host our email at google business so we can add unlimited aliases and forwarding. Registrars like namecheap can do domain email forwarding free or they have individual email hosting and forwarding for like 10 dollars a year,

Yep. Beat me to it. Many registrars as well as DNS providers have services that forward emails from one domain to another. I've been using zoneedit for years and they have that feature. Used it couple of times when I've had some self-inflicted problems with my email server.
