Service tax in NC?

I am a mobile tech (sole proprietor) in North Carolina. My wife just spoke to our accountant who said I should now be charging tax for my labor. First I've heard of it, really. Can anyone in NC confirm? I started researching but am a bit confused and lost.

Not from there but I know that is correct. It started with the New Year. You will have to take the tax out of what you were paid to remit even if you did not charge the customers.

Your welcome. I keep up with NC as my Dad lives in Southern Pines. Been considering relocating to the RDU area as well. That's why I picked up on that tidbit.

Glue a pair of suspenders to that desktop and it's an item of clothing. No tax on "alterations". USFF sales are going to go through the roof, I tell ya!

I have to do mine every month by the 21st. isn't hard to do it yourself (as long as you collect tax and you keep up with how much money your business brings in every month)
