Would someone have a copy of the service manual for a Dell Vostro 1000 lap top? I would be very grateful and will gladly share it and any I have in my library in the future on the forums. Thanks, I have a new customer with that model and am having trouble getting into it to replace a cmos battery .

Thanks for the help. I knew about the Dell site and downloaded the manual. However it was an html document and I cant read it on my Ubuntu 11.10 op. system machine. I was hoping for a pdf perhaps. Or something to convert the file to pdf or make it readable.
I have another machine running windows but only bring my Linux laptop to job sites. Any help would be great.
