Security Essentials - Problems re-installing? Solved.

Had an issue trying to reinstall security essentials for a customer, error 0x80070645
Tried using the fixit tool http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2435760/
and nada.


Ended up finding a solution:

open regedit:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT > Installer > UpgradeCodes > 1F69ACF0D1CF2B7418F292F0E05EC20B

---Right click on1F69ACF0D1CF2B7418F292F0E05EC20B and delete the key

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Installer > UpgradeCodes > 1F69ACF0D1CF2B7418F292F0E05EC20B <---delete this key


everything was good to go after that
