So trying my best to stay with screenconnect as its been a great program I have been using it for just over 2 years now!
Sadly Im on version 5.4 so the new Windows 10 AU breaks the remote session unless I blank the client screen, not a deal breaker if I know whats going on but if I need the client to "show" me then its really hard to blank and un blank the screen all the time....

So looked at upgrading my license ... $2195 for 1 year --- WTF I knew their prices went up but Im sure 2 years ago I pad maybe $350!!!

So im here ranting ..... but more or less looking for suggestions on alternatives, I have TeamViewer with GFI but only can use it with my GFI clients.....

I would like something that has the ease of starting a session and supporting my non managed clients when they need help.

Or maybe some soul has dropped SC and would like to sell me a license?

The price of US$2,195 is for a new licence. If all you're doing is renewing an existing self-hosted ScreenConnect licence (and upgrading to version 6) then it should be a lot cheaper - certainly hundreds, not thousands.

Before anything else you should speak to ScreenConnect support about this - they're very reasonable people who are doing a nice job of looking after their old customers.

I will defiantly be in contact with them, but the 2195 is what was given to me when I used the online tool to upgrade my current license.
Fingers Crossed that I can work out a better deal, but looking at AnyDesk as a secound solution if SC fails me.....

Upgrading and renewing are very different in the tool. Go to your admin screen and then licenses. It should have a renewal link.

I just checked mine, if you click the link from the license screen for upgrading the license, you get reasonable pricing.

Pretty sure if you bought at the old pricing then you will be grandfathered in to the old pricing for any upgrades in the future.
We were at least, and just paid for the upgrade a month or so ago. Think it cost US$120 to renew for another year of upgrades, for two concurrent sessions.

Just an update:
ScreenConnect will let me update my license as follows:
Total: $325 - $260 = $65

Woohoo!!

If any one has screenConnect (hosted) I recommend reaching out to support for a awesome deal!

When I bought my screen connect license just over a year ago I used my Technibble business kit discount code and got a decent discount. Now I need to update to version 6. Are there any codes that give discounts for upgrades?

If you click the add or upgrade license link in the admin area and it will tell you what your upgrade will cost. I just did it recently and paid I think $65.00 dollars for the year.

Now if you are under the new pricing license then I don't know what it will cost.

I am under the old pricing, but I think it is priced per concurrent session. Mine will probably be 3X that amount, which is still worth it, but hate to miss any discounts that might be out there.

Ahh Ok I got you. Yea I wonder if they will allow discounts on the upgrade. I would be interested to find out too for next year for sure.

Great to hear they are honoring previous pricing. We love ScreenConnect.

The current policy is that customers under the old pricing are grandfathered. ScreenConnect has never offered promos that I'm aware of other than the one mentioned in this thread. Personally, I'd rather know that everyone is getting the same price.
