Could I get a couple of other checks on this? My script is supposed to DL the portable version from their site and run it. (Yes, I do have a Tech License for SAS). However, what it DLs is the Free version installer. Did the same thing manually... same result.

I noticed on their web that they've got a Tech License version (HALLELUJAH! About bloody time!) but the DL link is the same (http://www.superantispyware.com/sasportablehome.php) This one, though, does give the portable version for DL.

Checked my Ketarin download of the SAS Portable... yup, it's now the Free installer. This also screws up D7's download of it. (That's how I update mine nightly, through D7)

Can anyone figure out a more precise link with which to DL the file for the true Portable version?

I erred in saying the DL links were the same; they weren't. The results when trying either of the two were the same.

But your link, Paul, was the same one I already had in my script and it just DLs the installer. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the PHP passing something on that determines what gets downloaded.

I downloaded the portable tech version from that link.

I see what you mean. Misunderstood at first. Same link that Nick has in his keratin file.

Yea, downloading it from keratin gives you the installer, manually downloading it gives you the portable version. That stinks.

Wish I knew more about keratin to be a bigger help.

Best of luck

I've this noticed too... I think something got mixed up and SAS doesn't know about it. When you follow the links to their portable version it downloads a variable named installer instead of variable named portable SAS. Maybe someone should mention it to them because maybe someone at SAS put a file in the wrong spot. As of right now I'm getting the portable from this link...
