Title says it all.

Everything has been completely tested and nothing pops on the MOBO or GPU diagnostics.

There is no apparent issues when connected to an external monitor.

The issue still persists even with a different LED screen.

We are unable to test the cable because we do not have another one to test it with and we do not have time to order one. That said, the screen does not flicker when it is moved, it does it when its just sitting there regardless of what you are doing. So I do not believe it is the cable.

It happens with and without the battery and without or without the charger.

It happens in Linux as well as Windows.

I am at a lose, any ideas?

That that we could tell, I will check that now though. What makes you think it could be the fan or something related to the fan?

I saw it on an Asus a while back. Fan would cycle and screen went dim. A little like a light dimming when the AC kicks on. Tried a different fan, and all was well. My best guess is it was trying to pull too much current for whatever reason.

Keep in mind that was a weird deal. Customer had been to three other techs before coming to us. It could just as easily be a power regulator on the board.

Thanks you for your suggestion, unfortunately, that is not it. I doubt that this has anything to do with it, but we did replace the power jack.

Just throwing it out there.. but have you made sure that all the newest power management drivers are installed?

Maybe a BIOS update could rectify it as well...

Sure is a weird one you got there.

Yeah, I have already ruled those things out. Thanks though.
