Running FOG 1.2.0

Thanks for the tip. I'll have to give that a look see as well.
Mark, if you use the Windows installer version it (installer) is supposed to do just about everything you need to be able to start using it immediately. I've found that I need to have a separate (non-home router) DHCP server which has the ability to forward to "next server" using ports 60 & 67 I believe. Most home routers won't do that.

I use untangle in my office so was able to make the changes to the DHCP.

I haven't read all the thread or messed with FOG for a LONG time but this software can do the DHCP forward in my experience.

I had difficulty initially getting FOG 1.2 to run. I ended up setting my dhcp server to have the following options:

config boot
option filename 'undionly.kpxe'
option serveraddress 'xx.xx.xx.xx' where xx.xx.xx.xx is your server's ip address
option servername 'xxxx' where xxxx is your server name

config host
option mac 'aa:bb:cc:dd:ee:ff' where aa:bb:cc:dd:ee:ff is the mac address of your server's nic card
option name ' 'xxxx' where xxxx is your server name
option ip 'xx.xx.xx.xx' where xx.xx.xx.xx is your server's ip address

I'm using openwrt to host my dhcp (dnsmasq) so your mileage may vary.

Mark, if you give cruciblewds a try and do it with Windows 7 (I used Utlimate 64bit) AND have luck with getting it to work for you, please let me know. Even though the author says it should "just work" after running the Windows installer, it won't for me. I really don't want to switch over to Linux but may give it a go anyway.

Have not had a moment to give it a whirl. Probably this weekend at the earliest. I'll post results when I get something.
