RIP Tony Scarpelli

Yeh big shame may he rest in peace. I never spoke to him directly I think but did regularly see his posts and he was obviously very well respected. Such a shame.

Very sorry to hear. I remember Tony being very active on the forum and a great help to those who wanted to grow their business. He had a strong urge to help resolve technical issues but a much stronger urge to offer business advice to those who needed it- one of the main reasons this forum is around.

RIP Tony.

I always liked his post very informative and willing to help others as stated previously. He will be missed. Cancer sucks and it is no joke! Prayers and thoughts are with his family.

This is very sad to read. RIP Tony. Tony reached out to me too once, I think he really liked the "offline relationships" the members had. I loved reading his posts, always full of good learning opportunities.

Tony actually called me one time just to get to know me "off the boards" and shoot the breeze about our businesses.

I thought I was the only one! He called me several times just to shoot the breeze. I declined an opportunity to meet because I couldn't find the time. Sadly, looks like Ill never have the chance.

Yup, it's always at the wake when kids discover Daddy called them all his favorite. Until that moment they each thought they were the only one. :)

Ummm . . . not that Tony was my daddy. :p

He'd laugh if he was here!

Here is one way to look at it...

I picked up a book with poems from the local Barnes & Noble, and a couple of days ago, I read this poem, and I thought I should post it here:

“He Is Not Dead

I cannot say, and I will not say
That he is dead. He is just away.
With a cheery smile, and a wave of the hand,
He has wandered into an unknown land
And left us dreaming how very fair
It needs must be, since he lingers there.
And you—oh you, who the wildest yearn
For an old-time step, and the glad return,
Think of him faring on, as dear
In the love of There as the love of Here.
Think of him still as the same. I say,
He is not dead—he is just away.

--James Whitcomb Riley (1849-1916)."

RIP.

Tony was a great guy, the first member of this community who ever reached out to me. I assisted him with setting up his website to drive traffic to his home based shop. This is the last message I received from him in July of 2014

Tony Scarpelli:

I know its been a bit over a year but thank you.

I took your advise and started a wix website and then later paid full premium to have it my own domain. It is now a PR2 with google and I live solely on the income generated organically from my two websites.

The first one is one I owned since 1990s and it is a page rank 3 so it comes up before my newer wix site.

Of late I have been doing about $1000 a week. Some weeks 2 or 3000 but most weeks at least $900. That is a very nice living for me since I have already paid off my houses and toys.

Maybe some day I will open a store but I have literally no overhead. A 35mpg car paid for and a cell phone. I have maybe $250 worth of internet, phone line, DSL and cell charges a month and that makes for an easy life.

Thanks for your help back when.

If you ever get state side look me up.

Tony Scarpelli

Tony was extremely kind and thankful. He was always willing to help others and took great pleasure in making peoples lives better.

I am happy reading this message now knowing that he was living comfortably and seemed very content in July of 2014. Miss you Tony. See you soon ;)
