I'm restoring Windows 7 Premium to the above computer after a rootkit problem. The client has the original media I just need to go and pick it up. I have all the data backed up along with the licences. On the D7 licence backup it says it has Office 2007 Enterprise Retail installed which I've got the key for. The client has no idea how it was installed or whether it was part of the original media. My question is has anyone ever seen Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 Retail as part of the Dell install? As far as I'm aware this would just be part of a corporate setup..

Why not give MSoft a call? Believe it or not, they have been very helpful in providing me with download links to older software if I have the key for it.

If the customer has purchase the Dell online they may have purchased the version of Office as a add on. The software is delivered via a download and not included in the recovery discs, so you may have to see if there is a download in the customers download folder, otherwise I would check the license key to see if it has been blacklisted and yes it is only the trial version of office that is included in the recovery discs.

If it's saying enterprise, it's either from a corporate purchase (doubtful since it's an Inspiron), illegal download from tpb, or someone abusing their MS tech subscriptions.

Figured as much. ..........
Another Microsoft Office 2007 Blue Edition I bet.

Hey Martyn, does the key start with RDXT2 and end with WXCVW?
If so then it's that Russian volume license pre-config install that has been floating around for years that the pirates tried passing off as some sort of special "internal" OEM edition of some sort.
