Restore programs on old partition

Now when I start the client in Safe mode ... it seems to run.
When I start in regular Windows (XP PRO sp3) I get a page fault.
I have to determine which service (in regular Windows) is causing the error.
Do you have any suggestions as to how to quickly (efficiently) track it down?

So we're not talking virtual anymore? You get a page fault on an actual machine and not on a virtual one?

@ allanc
*What if you designate more memory in settings (Virtualbox) to the XP machine.
*Did you check the page file size? (safe mode / non virtual).
*Did you try sfc in safe mode/none virtual?
*Try stopping all non-MS services in MSconfig and restart the one at a time. Again ofcourse safe mode / non virtual.

Do you have more intel? You're not giving us a lot to go on. Could you be more precise? I'm just shooting blanks.

Btw, maybe it'd be better to start a new threat as this is kinda going off topic. Attracts more viewers/helpers as well.

Before I start a new thread ....
The Vista host is AMD and the client is Intel.
Is that an issue?
