Yes, which is very common. Open/stealthed ports in themselves are not really the issue as they are part of Internet life. It's what is listening on them that is the concern.
If this is a common need for you, look into something you can make money on. We use SimpleHelp for our remote access tool that allows something they call RemoteWork which is exactly what you want. Currently it is free to help with Covid but they said they expect it to be $2-3 a month at the most once they do price it out. We charge $79 a year for the service and it’s tied right into our remote tools.
$1800 for a 5 pack of concurrent sessions. Means we can connect to 5 computers at the same time.
For the purposes of this thread, “remote work” is a feature they offer that gives an end user access to their own computer. It’s not published but I was told the cost for that is $1-2 per user. Currently it is free due to covid.
Full disclosure, their 5.3 version is very unstable to the point that we have migrated our sessions back to ScreenConnect and will be getting a refund from SimpleHelp.

We are a mac office and support windows and mac. When editing a session it would remove it from the group it was in. Unable to login having to close and open the program 2-3 times on our machine to correct it. It was an issue with the text box only taking one letter for the username. Happened on my two macs and another in the office.
This coupled with the issues we have had with Kaspersky basically forcing end users to remove the unattended access, clipboard issues going to clients machines. It hasn’t been fun.

My daily driver is macOS but I still use Winderz regularly. Only problem I've had recently is the server would not release the connections when they were disconnected. Had to force it through the dashboard. I guess I'll spin up a second server and give it a try before I commit. Thanks for you input @VISA MC .
If you wanted to invest a little effort into it I'd highly recommend https://remotely.one/
I've recently uploaded to a droplet on digital ocean with great results for single support sessions and unattended sessions.
