Okay im having trouble w a computer.
The Hard Drive Crashed.
I bought a new one and installed it, loaded XP on it.
so I turn it on load drivers. Working fine.
Then a day later i get BSOD.
I figured "hmmm maybe its the ram" I take the ram out..i give all components a thorough cleaning. Re-seat the ram. Turn it on and now it works fine.
Four Days later i get bsod again and again ive disabled automatic start up on system failure and i just get to bsod.
It works fine when im using a live cd and it also works fine in Safe Mode.

This computer is for a local tattoo shop. They do use photoshop all day every day. The Comp never gets turned off.

What could it be?
Should I Reformat again and see how that goes or is it faulty Ram?

The BSOD says "driver irql_not_less_or_equal"

Is there a site that shows all the error codes out the so i wont have to keep asking what each are.

yes ther are sites that give a basic list of stop codes, but the best I've found is google, no joking it's givin me the best and quickest answers, and i think bryce did have a page in the Computer Technicians Quick Reference Guide he released two or three months ago.

WhoCrashed really helps a lot with BSOD's. Give it a try, it might point to something specific.

Thank You For The Info.
So Far Its Looking Like Faulty Ram but please feel free to give me any other input.

the driver part wou;d mean its faulty drivers not RAM, whats making you think its RAM?

I recently tried WhoCrashed which I came across here in this site. I like it.

I learned how to use windbg to read the stop codes only because I noticed that the each stop code points to multiple items. Looking at the dumpl file only takes me about a minute

I was downgrading from Vista To Xp.
I couldnt find the Nvidia driver, so i loaded one that I THOUGHT would work and that was the one giving me the problem.
I searched and searched for one, HP Support didnt help. So i just loaded Vista back on the computer now its working like a champ.

Thank You so much for the input guys.

The TechNibble Family is Awesome.

I had that problem before.. Worked fine in safe mode etc. I ended up saving some pics and documents and formating because they needed the PC back up within 2-3 hours, and trying to find the driver that was causing it would have took pretty long im guessing.
