I tried turning off VPN passthough, would that be it?
ok so I turned off port filtering and windows firewall to test still just hangs. I ran the qb file dr too it said everything was fine. 2 hrs into this.any other ideas? I'm able to update qb too so it's not blocked.
Have you tried it with regular internet rather than MiFi?

I wish I could but its a desktop and she has no other sources out where she lives.Have you tried it with regular internet rather than MiFi?

Shes sending to just a regular gmaiil acct, I checked the address too. It seems to hang at the sending stage, it creates a QBX copy then nothing, hangs or errors out with windows message to close or wait. When first running the QB doctor there were mentions of a networking issue at first but now it just mentions MSE, which I disabled too.Double check the mail settings she has in QB? May be using ISP SMTP.
Shouldn't have anything to do with ports re: the MiFi device..it's basically just a NAT router, where everything is allowed out. It's the ISPs block on their backbone that counts.

She never changed the email settings, just the mifi so I doubt thats it, but if I get another go at it I'll check it, unfortunately I'm doing this all remotely and after 2+ hours on it yesterday shes pretty spent, but I'm not charging her until I get it resolved. From the qb site it suggests reloading QB which she doesn't want to do for fear of messing up her business file (I do have backups) or rebuilding the whole file which is out of the question too. I'm pretty convinced its a networking issue or qb is corrupted but the qb dr isn't detecting it.I mean what vehicle is being used by her QB setup. QB can "send" via a couple of different methods. Itself, or mail settings such as your ISP's SMTP settings for example. If it's the latter...could be on default port 25...in which case...yeah that's expected behavior.
Has to be something there, but her old one was 4g too.Could be different rules applied to the newer MiFi since you say it's faster...it's likely on a 4G link which may have tighter ACLs than the older 3G link (whole different IP range).
