While I was watching the advanced malware removal video by Mark Russinovich. That has been posted here in the forums now by several members . He mentioned a tool called system virginity verifier. I had not heard of this program before . So on his pp slide it had the address to the authors website

In reading posts on her blog and other content there. I ran across one of her projects I thought worth a mention. It is called
QUBES OS

This looks to be a very interesting OS. On the screen shots page they show it loading things in VM's. Isolating things like the browser from the OS. Still in beta but looks like it could be a nice alternative. For customers that just surf the net and use email and such.
I ran a search here and came up short. So if this has been mentioned before now sorry.
Just sort of wondering what others think of this concept ?

wow. The stuff some individuals come up with is amazing.

I would never use this, but the time and effort and idea involved is amazing and it is a great idea.

For some reason I was thinking about how you could apply this to something like thin clients for applications. Run an application on another computer and see its screen as if it were local, basically that's what it is doing, but everything is on localhost.
