Promotional Shortcut sheet

You need to determine who you're targeting with that. Average users won't be interested because they really don't care as long as they can use Word and access FaceBook. Also, your god mode string needs to be all on one line; it doesn't copy and paste correctly as you have it. And, please, I beg you, do something about the title; it hurts my eyes.

Neat document. I didn't know Facebook had shortcuts. I've never messed around with God Mode before. Not sure if I want my customers using it even though it's stuff they can already do in the Control Panel. God Mode makes it a little too accessible. lol

I'm not sure how this PDF draws people to your FB page.

I have a promotional sheet that tells customer's handy little shortcuts, here's my fav:

How To Fix A PC

1) Click "Start" (or the little glowing orb in the left hand bottom corner of your screen)
2) Type "cmd" (without quotes). Right click and run as administrator
3) Type format C:\
4) Wait for teh process to finish
5) Restart your PC
6) If the PC won't turn on again, it's because you didn't do something right
7) Call me

:D

I usually start with shutdown -r, then have them do number 3. :D

i will send it to them from a form on facebook. Just loaded it on my site for you guys

is there maybe a better way to use it. I think it has a lot of useful tips in it.

I agree with Angry_Geek. You should change the font you used on the Title. Other than that, It's great.

Are you using the like/reveal functionality in Facebook where they have to click on the like button before they see the form? That would be one way to use it. Also, maybe you can hand them out to clients when you repair their PC.

Hope this help,

Guillermo

Thanks everybody i updated the title portion. You guys were right, hard on the eyes! Glad everyone likes the content. Any nibbler that would like a copy to edit for there own customers i would be happy do sent a copy to you. just pm me! Thanks for the support!

Neat document. Savvy office workers might make use a sheet that teaches them editing shortcuts, such as ctrl+A/C/X/V/Z/Y/S/N/B/U/I/etc, ctrl+home/end, ctrl+shift+home/end, ctrl+(arrow keys), ctrl+shift+(arrow keys), etc.

Just a heads up, it looks like your refresh key is wrong; it says F4 instead of F5.

I was thinking of doing something like this on the reverse side of a mass A6 leaflet drop hoping that the receiver would make it a keepsake and not put it in the bin. :)

I had similar printed on the back of business cards last time, just a bunch of basic Windows/universal shortcuts. Haven't really been handing them out lately though, too busy with my main gig and family to focus on my own biz lately. So I have no idea how this will work out for me just yet.

@ the OP:

You have a great shortcut sheet you've made there! I would love to take you up on your offer to get a copy of that which I can edit. A non-PDF copy would be awesome, as I don't have Acrobat handy, but I'll take what I can get :)

I will say this, about God Mode, is ... why? I would remove this from my copy. Wouldn't want it to be too overwhelming or intimidating to a user; that's a problem I've seen in the past turn a user off, when faced with otherwise helpful information. I find that people generally like good info in smaller, more digestible doses.

But all of the shortcuts you are showing are great, and very handy, but keep in mind that your target audience is (or at least, mine would be) office ladies or otherwise people in a work environment. Typists! Not home users who can barely use the mouse, not power users who know about the shortcuts already...

Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think your target audience (or most any audience, for that matter) really care about the god mode "trick" because it brings nothing NEW to the table. They'd rather know the shortcut to print directly to tray 2 on their network Ricoh from within Word. That is priceless.

I agree with some of the other users. 99% of users wouldn't need / want God Mode and then most users don't care about shortcuts.

I have a list of troubleshooting tips that clients can try before they call for help.
