Hello all,

I did a quick promo video for our shop. Just wondered your thoughts, especially the sound (voice over). I have a Yeti microphone but can't find it lol, so I used a cheap headset. I'm a little worried that it sounds cheap but i'm no sound connoisseur, I have a terrible ear for that stuff.

Thanks,

Cool video Terry. The audio seemed fine to me, but the spinning bothered my eyes. Every time I see pictures of your store I am still in awe, great work.

I'm not an audophile really, but its pretty obvious to me that a low quality mic was used. Given the production value of the rest of the video, I'd say it would seal the deal as a great video if you got the same level quality of audio. It would let you boost the audio a bit more too without too much static sound coming through. As it stands, if someone were watching this in a living room with their kids making even a slight ruckus, I think you'd get drowned out compared to other commercials.

To me, it sounds like the audio is "tinny" and is missing a lot of bass. One of my clients is a "voice" and has 25 years in the Radio and TV advertising business. If you want a "voice" I would be happy to refer him to you.

I'm not a fan of the spinning either. I was expecting the green things on the Left to go "full screen" as you said them. Definitely tie action in the video to a word on the screen or something LARGE that pertains to what your saying.

It still amazes me with all the money you haul in a month you still do your own marketing and stuff like this. muhahahaha.

Good job though--your voice sounds great and clear (audio nerds are the only ones that will know it's not done in high quality)

For what it's worth, next time if you want an audio guy...just send a recorder off Fiverr the content, for a 1 minute video, might be $10 or $!5. . I love my audio guy, my friend Ray did the video

Oh Lisa... with all the money I pay out I'm living like a starving artist lol. Actually i'm learning the video stuff to add to our services, a tie-in with websites etc. So that's why i'm playing around with so much video, sound etc. Just need some time to get proficient. It's fun too! Kind of hobby-like almost.

The Fiverr guys.... that's a great idea. I always forget about that site. Hope all has been good with you. I'm still a little jealous of your new found territory since the high here today was 34.

Don't be too jealous, I moved to Iowa last week lol.Florida was not for me, my skin hated it. I didn't like being warm all the time, but don't get me wrong...it was a great experience, but I am now happier in the cold. It's 39 here right now.

Up by Diamond Joe's. I am not marketing here lol.

@markverhyden I never got seasonal depression, but wow...I just didn't like the same weather everyday. And their rain was dumb, it was like a light mist all the time.

I would imagine that is the Dubuque location. I have family near there in Dyersville. They are about 1.5 hours from where I am located by Cedar Rapids.

I'm near Mason City actually. I just changed my location here to reflect my new location. There are a few of us here, we can have a meetup
