Project Kabuto by RepairTech

I've installed Kabuto on 11 machines already. The triggers that went off the most were driver related. They are found under Hidden Devices in Device Manager. I actually found that to be quite helpful since that is something we might overlook since it is hidden by default. Once I fixed those issues the trigger resynced in 6 hours and all was well.

I have gotten the Alert to have a machine Defrag, that is the other trigger that goes off. After a defrag, all was fixed there as well.

Definitely a fan of this Product. Also, not sure if Ian announced it but they are doing a Custom Branding Trial that expires on October 15. Tried it out already and looks sweet. Allows you to see how it looks before deciding on purchasing it. I know I submitted that request. Glad to see a lot of things are getting done.

Yes, Cypress was one of the people who pushed for this. We made it so that you get 30 days of branding on your account when you sign up, so you can see what it's like.
 
Regarding the defrag notification... does the program recognize that there is an SSD installed and ignores sending the client a notification to defrag the hard drive?
 
Am I right that a MAV solution is being added to this. If do any ideas of what and when!

Working on it, yes. Still in negotiations with A/V vendors. Once that's finished, it'll probably be a month before it's released, if I had to guess (which means it's probably going to be 2 months, because software).

I like where this product is going and I will be giving it a try soon. Is there any way to translate it to another language?
 
Not currently, but that's already on the backlog so it'll be happening eventually for sure :D
Would like to help for Greek if you like. Also, are there any plans for a self hosted version with maybe a one time fee that would include device monitoring? Thanks.

Eventually we'll have language packs that you can customize, at least that's my hypothesis. When the time comes we'll reach out for help on the translations.

Not at the moment. This would be very complicated for us and would essentially require us to rewrite the software and maintain two repositories instead of one.

Thanks a lot for the answers Ian. Translation would be vital to us, so we will have to wait...
It would also be nice if we would be able to initiate a remote control session (we use ScreenConnect). This could be done by calling executables from within kabuto. Could also be handy to have social integration (like button etc) and also have a space for promotions you could have... Sorry for hijacking the thread but I can see a lot of uses for your program.

This looks good but I'm not a fan of annual cost for software. Much rather purchase and self host like screen connect has an option for. Been burned to many times and all the promises in the world won't change my mindset not to buy in to that again.
 
Totally agree with layoric. Self hosted is the way forward. You could charge for updates and let the user decide what is best for them. Screenconnect is an excellent example.

Totally understand. Definitely will be building in language packs, don't worry. The agent will be first, and then the online dashboard.

Good to see that you introduced language packs. The language that interests me is Greek and unfortunately you don't support it yet.
