Program to Search *closed* Outlook PST Files

I am looking for a program to search for words/phrases in *closed* local Outlook PST files that members here can personally recommend:

Some other specs:
- Reliable (must have)
- Windows 7/64 compatible
- Search Emails and attachments
- Outlook itself does not to be installed (hopefully)
- Free would be great
- Portable (hopefully)

I have not had a chance to use it, so I cant personally recommend, but there is a product PST Walker http://www.pstwalker.com/index.html

It can scan pst files and is portable I believe.

What do you mean by closed? By definition the ability to read the contents of any file means it must be opened even if read only.

Stellar is a long time provide of PST tools. Seem to remember that @callthatgirl has mentioned their stuff before. They also have a free viewer but I've never used it. https://www.stellarinfo.com/email-tools/pst-viewer.php

Well, I tried the FREE version of StellarPSTViewer on a 12 Gb PST.
I specifically mention FREE, because there is a licensed version that may have additional features and/or be easier to use.
With the free version, I could search in the 'From', 'To' and 'Subject' but not the body of the Emails.
In my particular scenario, I think that the above options should be sufficient but I if I could search the bodies I would have done so.

The process of copying (exporting) the Emails of interest can be time consuming.
Basically, I could not find a way to select multiple Emails to export.
So, for each Email that you want to export, you have to:

• Right click the Email and choose the format (PDF, HTML, etc.) that you would like to use for the export.
• Click OK after the export is complete.

A unique sub-folder name is generated for each exported Email.

My Outlook was closed.
Yet on every third export, an error popped-up from Business Contact Manager (Outlook Add-On from MS).
This required 3 more clicks.
Very time consuming indeed.

I chose HTML output and I am satisfied with the end results.
