Hello,

I have a Sony Vaio VGN'NR220E, that is giving me so many troubles. First, I brought two new RAMs in order to upgrade my laptop, but this one does not recognize them. The seller told me that I should upgrade mi bios. I have been trying that, but I can find any update for my Phoenix bios. Also, my DVD RW driver got updated and due that I can not copy or read dvds any more. The funny thing is that with the older driver version everything was fine. so I think everything has to do with the bios.

What can I do to solve my Bios and driver problems?..

When you say the laptop does not recognize the new RAM, what do you mean? You seem to have been able to boot into Windows to run Everest, and I see two memory modules listed in the Everest report, or are these the old ones that you are trying to replace?

As for the DVD trouble, do you mean you upgraded the firmware, the Windows driver, or the disc burning program? Make sure the DVD RW is set to the same region as the discs you are trying to play (in the Device Manager).

Please be more specific.
