I enjoy Podnutz as well. Starting out, I listened to every, single Podnutz and Podnutz Daily show. There is tons of information there and it's in a medium that I can take in while I'm driving.
As of late, the Podnutz forums have been quite the ghost town and PND has only been coming out every 2-3 weeks it seems. I wish there was more consistency, but Steve C. is only one guy. I know that he has help from others hosting shows and forum moderators, but I think Podnutz would be better served by a more structured oversight.
As for the infomercial aspect goes, I don't mind that at all. I have bought the laptop videos and the tech site builder kit. There is tons of information there that I go back to again and again. I've also purchased Lalo's videos and Dan's book (+docs). I plan to purchase other products from and through them (like Fab's, the TN kit and the new Wisetechnician videos eventually). I'm also hoping they release a TSBK 2.0 with SEO instructions as well. I love learning how to do things for myself and audio/video formats are a great way of doing that for most people.
I actually found PN by reading the TN forums. Based on my early experiences with both, I wish it would have been the other way around. PN is great for people just starting out and learning. TN tends to have more of and advanced (or even elitist) audience with little patience for the new or inexperienced a lot of times.
At any rate, I like Podnutz and hope they continue to develop helpful products for technicians.
edit:
I forgot to mention that Door's "Linux for the rest of us" videos are fantastic as well. I'm not familiar with Linux at all and it is opening the door for me. I try to play around with it when I have time.
