Pocket printer trouble

After trying to help with other techs problems now it's my turn.
I have invested in an A6 pocket printer from Sipix after reading about them on this forum, it would be a great addition to my business but I've run into a spot of trouble and I'm now stuck.

I can install this printer just fine on my XP based desktop but I really want it for in the field with customers but my laptop is Windows 7 64 bit and for the life of me I cannot find a driver for this OS.

My laptop has no Com ports or Printer ports so this is solved by a USB - Serial port converter which works well so the printer connects physically just fine however all the drivers for it I have found so far are for XP,2K and windows7 32bit. I knew I would regret buying 64bit windows. Anyone have any ideas how I could install this for my laptop?

None of the other drivers will run due to not being 64 bit, windows just flat out refuses to install them and the only solution I can find so far is to install another OS (not my first choice).

Only Win7-Ultimate comes with XP mode.

However, if USB printing used to work, what about a VM?

Sadly I don't have ultimate installed although it wouldn't be difficult to upgrade. I haven't had any printing from this laptop yet. I can get it to print from my desktop both from the USB and the COM port but the printer just isn't recognized at all in Windows7 64 bit. None of the other standard drivers will run it either.

Quick update for you, I upgraded my laptop to Windows 7 Pro x86 and the printer installed without any problems. Had to get an updated driver for the USB-Serial converter but that took me all of 5 minutes, a surprisingly easy fix in the end despite the new OS install.

Thanks for the help guys.
