The main banner needs a redo. The text surrounded by blue looks funky, and may be hard for some to read. And honestly I don't think many will find it aesthetically pleasing or professional looking. Additionally "Brandon Terry, Computer Technician" is right above the blue banner and then right away in the blue banner again.

The "PC Repair services" logo looks out of place.

Is it your company logo? No.
Does it match the rest of your site? No.
Does it look like 1995? Yes.

Edit: I'm not trying to be mean, just wanted to give you honest feedback, and I wish you well on your business endeavors!

Instead of your name and company. i think just your company's name should be in place. You are repeating your services from your banner after your experience. There are commas after "Virus removals & hardware installations". On your Service pages there are the letter "I" instead of the number "1". Thats about it, bro.

removed the commas and changed the ls to 1s

I have no business name which is why I am using the title Computer Technician after my name Brandon Terry leading to "Brandon Terry, Computer Technician"

TBH you have had a lot of feedback on this site from the two threads you have run on it. The concensus of opinion is that the banner is no good (a criticism I agree with). Its great to see you have taken on board some of the other comments, however, you are still missing the boat in many other respects.

What I would suggest you do is take some time to look at the current state of the Industry by doing a survey of, say 30 computer repairs websites. Check out what others are doing well and take on board these approaches as inspiration for what you are doing with your site.

The impression I get from the level of development of the site is that you are looking for a 'shortcut' route - to get something down quickly and easily.

While I can appreciate the impetus, the problem is that your site is still very weak, and if you want to use it to get business, you have a lot of work ahead of you.

The fact is that decent web design takes a lot of time and effort to get right. It also requires some investment in the aspects you can't do to to a PROFESSIONAL standard yourself. (banner, case in point).

My advice - do the research, take time and effort to understand what people are doing presently to design websites that convert well, and then get some help implementing appropriate changes in your own site to get it up to scratch.

I get the impression you also have not properly researched the advertising critique of the Forum - yes it is time-consuming to do that, but, this is the ONLY place you can get the quality and breadth of information on computer repairs business sites thats available here. Its all there if you take the time to look

Or just go with what you have there, but, to be frank, its not going to generate you much income from what I have seen of it. Your site is slightly less horrible than when you first posted but its still horrible.

Ok, your site is years ahead of A&S computers, looks like it was made in five minutes with FrontPage 2003. But just because yours is better then theirs doesn't mean you shouldn't strive for perfection!

I am in college so I am trying to strive for perfection

I am taking Structured Programming and Intro to Sys. Analysis.

Next fall I hope to take web programming to help with my website and overall get my AAS in Computer Science.

Website Update

Can you guys take a look at my site one more time and tell me what you think. I am very limited to what I can do by my webhost.

Thanks,
Brandon Terry

Is copyscape paid or free? seems a waste of time. I could rip your site and encode it in under 20 seconds and your copyscape would not detect it.

I didnt check out the entire site but did notice this on the bottom of the services page

If repair is not completed $25.00 must be paid

I would probably word this different, it makes it seem like if you as the tach can't or doesn't complete it for some reason they must pay. I would say something more like "If you choose to not have us repair......" or something more along those lines.

I removed the copyscape, but it was the free version. Changed the wording of the $25 diagnosis charge and changing the host at this time is not necessary I dont think.

I will try to make as many changes as you guys tell me without changing the host.

First, kudos to you for making a go of it with with your website. That being said, as someone else here mentioned, a good website can be difficult and time consuming. If your intention with this site is to bring in customers and make money for you, then it needs to be treated as a professional task, not one that you put together in 5 minutes. Not to be harsh, but that is what it looks like right now. Regardless of how bad your competitors website may look, you should have enough pride in what you do to judge your work on its own merits, not relative to others. My house may look better than some crack den, but that doesn't mean my house looks good.

If you are not well-versed in website design, and don't have the time to learn it before you want to put up a site, you really have two options that will get you decent to great results. The first option is to go to a pro. This is expensive, and probably not within your budget (I know its not in mine). Your second option is to get a template. Now I know this may be taboo to some, but it really is about the only inexpensive way to put up a good looking, functional site in short time with little expense.

As to the limitations of your web host. Really? A search for web hosts must return something on the order of a bazillion to the bazzillionth power results. Most of which will host your site for just a few bucks a month and include all the feature that your current site could possibly need and more.

Either you are a professional or you are not. Right now your site says you are not and are quite possibly the same kid your customers should expect to see mowing their lawn over the summer. Don't mean to be hash, but if you are going into business, go into business!

**Full Disclosure: I myself do not have a website (small town, lots of word of mouth, etc), so add as many grains of salt to this advice as you see fit.

Here you go:

Home:
“I work when you are not!” sounds odd to me.

“Which means my hours extend until 8 P.M Monday thru Thursday and 9 P.M on Friday and Saturdays so you don't have to take off of work early just to get your computer fixed“ is a sentence fragment. Try something like this instead:
I am available Monday through Thursday until 8 PM and until 9 PM on Friday and Saturday so you don’t have to take off from work to have your computer serviced.

Instead of telling me to scroll back up to see your hours, why not link to them or just write them there.

The bottom of this page looks like a mess and all of that information—phone, email, etc.—should be at the top of the page for easy access.

Services:
Under “Computer Tutoring” consider using a bullet list for the topics you provide help with. It will be easier to read than five lines of comma separated items.

“Their is a 1 hour minimum…” at the bottom should be “There is…”

“All Repairs are charged a $25.00 fee for diagnosis that will be waived if you have us complete the repair. If you do not let us complete the repair the $25 will be charged.” is redundant. You state that the $25 diagnostic fee will be waived if service is purchased and then you repeat that there is a $25 diagnostic fee.

I would leave out the whole last paragraph about your prices being reasonable. Who are you to say what I think are reasonable prices? Either list your prices somewhere or, if a customer mentions a lower price somewhere, offer to price match on a per call basis.

Partners:
This page is useless. There’s absolutely no information, just some referral links to services that most people wouldn’t know what to do with without some assistance. If you sell these services or install Dropbox for someone just use your referral links when you set them up.

Privacy Policy:
This doesn’t need to be in the main menu. Create a footer and put a link to it there like most sites.

Hours:
You should probably just put this information on your home page.

Data Recovery:
Why does this get its own section? List this on your services page and get rid of the tips. Most of the tips listed are things that people are going to pay you to do and inform them about.

Hosting:
You mentioned that you didn’t have much control over this and you don’t really plan on switching, however, three times while browsing your site I got a page not found error. This happened the very first time I clicked your link. A potential customer wouldn’t bother refreshing until it worked.

If you having trouble designing something that looks professional, get a reliable host, install Wordpress and you can find plenty of nice free or low priced themes that would work just fine for you.

Can anybody point me to any free computer repair WP themes? I may change over to WP if that would look better, but I dont know. Can anybody point me to some websites in WP.
