Figured this would be a fun topic to do. Show a before and after the inside of a case after your typical cleaning for a customer.

This was for a business that deals in making rubber products (gaskets, grommets, ect.), and this computer was in the front office. Not as bad I thought it'd be from the dust around the office and production floor.

Thank you. I just use a microfiber cloth, with some ammonia free window cleaning spray. I get the microfiber clothes from an auto parts store, 12 for 9 bucks.

Cable routing mostly, where it was at before, it'd hit the network card, in this spot it's easier to move in and out if need be.

Nice, always do this for clients as well.

It's a good way to show what you're capable of, and attention to detail. Most places just vacuum it out, but if you take the time to show that you thought about what could be done to allow the computer to run cooler because of air flow, customers appreciate it. Just that extra little effort can go a long way.

In deed. I moved around/zip tied as much as I could. After cleaning and moving cables around, I saw a 3 degree Celsius temperature difference. They appreciated it, and ended up having me order 2 brand new computers for them, and put this computer in the back for the manager of the floor.

Here is my work/gaming computer. I have two cats that stay around me, and this is when my shop was in my garage, so it was a bit dusty. This is only 4 months of dust!

I have since moved to a cleaner place the first pic looks worse than it really is, the air could still move, but it looks like its blocked completely, its not.

haha, you would think. I think it also was because I was building a scratching post, and the carpet shed a lot with the fibers, so I'm thinking that had a lot to do with it.

I ended up buying one of these:

and attaching a regular ac filter to it, and it worked great at getting excess dust and hair.

Oh yeah, it will circulate a room in 30 minutes, and works great as a general air filter. I got the fan at wally world for $40 and the ac filter was only $10 for the really good one, the cheaper ones were $4. I can cut the filter to fit the inlet and it there's enough room for 4. Worked extra good when I was cutting wood in my garage
