PCRT Rocks!

Is anyone using PCRT remotely(or can it be) for onsite repairs or do you just come back and enter it all on the system?
Any plans for a portable app(Ipad) where you can sync your onsite data?

I use mine remotely, just have it loaded on our web server. Not sure if there will be a version for Ipad but you can use Ipad go to the Internet and open it up from there.

Hi Marytn

We have PCRT on our webserver, so in that sense it is accessible remotely. I can access it from my mobile or from client PC to input info and generate reports, or update it when I get back. As for portable app, just use web browser ;-) There is a touchscreen entry option also which makes it easier.

It's a great app and very easy to setup and use, but do take some time to customise it first. Some of the descriptors on the scans/actions/notes have typos and Americanisms ;-) It's easy to edit and add new scan info etc. I've also customised the layout and style of the print outs so that it works better for us.

The customer tracker side of it is great too - and I've got that integrated into our Drupal site.

Of course the generous Technibble discount helps too!

I am not aware of the ability of this software to allow for the client to check on thier ticket. There is a "Customers" menu button/link, but this is for techs to browse the list of the clients.

We have this installed and working - PM me if you want access codes to see a test entry.

Steve

Ok I emailed and got them a remote connection to their demo version and it looks great on the Ipad but sadly it's not really a product for on the road. I can check in a laptop say I'm picking up but as far as I can see it's a bit clunky to use with onsite fixes. I'm still playing with it though :)
