pcrt alternatives?

I am looking around to see what is out there for computer repair tracker systems and I am wondering if there are any other products out there that are similar to pcrt that you guys know of?

I like mhelpdesk but I dont like the idea of having my data hosted on their server and prefer to host my own data. I also am not a fan of paying monthly and would prefer to outright buy the software.

Why do you not want to use PCRT you can host it yourself and no monthly charges very customizable, great price, and great support.

I think its very easy to setup and use, no regrets on this decision on my end.

Why do you have doubts on using it, or what doesn't it do that you would need.

PC Repair Tracker has been one of best things I have done for the business. I use an iPad at the shop counter on a cool steel base the pad clips into that rotates/ w a bluetooth keyboard. The customer signs in on the screen and the Bluetooth printer pops out the claim ticket. Love it! Plus 6 points for wow factor.
Also have it set up so the customer can log in on the website and check their repair.

I do currently use pcrt and over all I like the application, but there are a few items that are missing that I do need for my business. I need support for 2 taxes and I have noticed that is adds a penny more than it should have. on each invoice/receipt. I really would like to be able to sync my calendar 2 ways, and I would like clients to be able to checkin their workstation or create a work order.

agreed - PCRT is nice and you can host it yourself - even on a basic workstation with WAMP/etc..

vtiger is another (very different) self-hostable crm/invoicy type thingy

I use two different Taxes with PCRT. Even in the same invoice if for instance I'm invoicing a customer for work done at my shop in AR and then onsite work done at their place in TX.
