PC Magazine rates Spybot as one of the worst tech products of quarter 1 2008

Spybot has never been good for realtime protection. Its only real use has been to use in combination Ad-aware off of a flash drive for cleaning a system thats already infected. For realtime protection there are much better products avilable such as Superantispyware and spyware blaster.

Real-Time protection needs some improvement for the typical end-user. I tell my customers all the time to pay attention when they are running a program installer, and to not just click "next" over and over without reading. It's like:

"Please click next to begin installation." *click*
"Please click next to update installation." *click*
"Please click next to drop a frag grenade into your hard drive." *click*

"Thank you." BSOD

I hate it when people do that, and then wonder why they have 9 tool bars.
