I've had it. Today a remote customer just gave up trying to pay me with their visa from my website paypal button because of their stupid policy of not allowing payment from any credit card or email that has been used with a previous paypal acct. You must login to the paypal acct. to pay with that card or email. Most of my customers don't remember their login or don't want to pay with paypal! So my question is, whats a good affordable alternative?? I only do 1-2 online payments a month and I requested their Paypal Here android swiper too, now having second thoughts!!

Square. Swipe the card or enter manually. Just works and is perfect for low volume.

See if you can get paypal virtual terminal. I got it as a backup to my other CC methods and what I do is login to my paypal account and type in the amount, customers card, expiration and CVV code, you dont need anything else. There are some advanced requirements to get Paypal VT but its fantastic. If you also have the paypal master card then as soon as you enter their CC info and process it the amount is available on your MC card.

I agree with using one of those Square devices. And if you do not take credit cards and you have enough volume, it helps tremendously.

thanks guys, I'm going to check it out, this is ridiculous, I really liked that they could enter in the info themselves though, I wonder if square has the capability to put a button like paypals on your website.

they do not, they're not an online processor.

sage

I use sage virtual terminal which works just like paypal and they are only 15/month and the payments go straight into your bank account.

You can use Google Checkout's invoicing option. You can send them an invoice via email through Google Checkout and they can pay with their credit card.

I think I'll look into this, thanks

intuit gopayment is what i use. no monthly fee, ability to process via mobile phone or virtual terminal. seems to work well

We use Paypal VT too, it's awesome for us. We can have the client pay with their credit card on our website through their system or we can capture the card, preauthorize an amount or just do a sale.

I can't believe I just now....after almost 5 years found out about this debit card thing. For years I had to suffer being broke Friday-Monday because I had to wait for funds. Now I just find out and can move money to the debit card instantly. I think I am about to cry...very happy gal here.
