Just thought I would let you guys know that I just passed my A+ exams. They were very easy and only took 1/2 hr apiece. I scored 853 on the 220-701 and 876 on the 220-702
I remember A+. Those two tests were the most gruelling 30 minutes of my life. I kept wondering if a laser printer question was about to come up. I'd had to open the second book to cram for laser printers but, of course, none did. Nothing like a lifetime cert, though!
I wish I had the tests you all had when I took it 4 years ago. The one I took had some odd questions on it. There was one that said something like... The toilet upstairs does not flush, how come the mouse does not work in HR?
I'm guessing those questions were there to see if you were awake for maybe they were trick questions.
Congratulations! I earned this cert 10 years ago and still recommend it to anyone just starting out in computers. I've been procrastinating about taking Net+ for the last few years and need to get off my behind and do it before the end of the year to get in on the "lifetime" cert.
Is the Security+ loosing the lifetime award next year also?
For those on the fence about getting certs, I've noticed that "some" potential clients are impressed by them. A cert doesn't make the tech but it sure doesn't hurt you when advertising your services.
Reminds me of my good old school days. While passing these exams are great and looks good on your resume, there is nothing like practical experience especially in the field of computer repair.
