Anyone have any clients that use these? It seems like after a couple of years the touchscreen fails, just seeing if this is common among your clients as well?
I still have a lot of friends in the automotive business where I've seen these things utilized. What you have is a laptop with a tough outer casing when closed it will survive considerable abuse. But at the same time it has a super sensitive touch screen. Added to that the environments where I've seen them utilized is a shop environment. Common sense tells me what the weakness is.
Quite the contrary. The Toughbook 28 is a MIL Spec fully rugged laptop with a very durable touch screen functionality. The issue you have is age ( 6+ yrs old) and usage of the touch panel. The touch panel is worn out and needs to be replaced.
