I have a client that we set up the same email on 2 different computers.

The old computer uses outlook express and the new one is windows live mail 2011.

It seems like he gets some messages on both and sometimes not on the new one.

I know they leave outlook express open all the time on the old computer.

It seems as if some emails come through on both but a lot wont come through on the new.

Is there any settings or anyway to change it so they always come in on both computers?

I am attempting to google and look up different things now.

If I find anything good, I will post back.

Thank you,

Landon

If the provider supplies IMAP. Not all do. If POP3 is all they offer, set OE to leave messages on the server so that they are available for the other machine to also download.

Steps

1
Open Outlook Express

2
Select Tools/Accounts.

3
Click on the Mail tab, highlight YourAccount and click on the Properties button.

4
Click on the Advanced tab.

5
In the Delivery section, select the checkbox to "Leave of copy of messages on server."

6
Select the appropriate checkbox to delete the messages from the server after a certain number of days, or until the messages are deleted from the Deleted Items in Outlook Express.

Yep that seemed to do the trick.

Thank you guys, I appreciate it.
