Hard to type off my phone, but it would appear that today a monster has been killed. Found in Pakistan, Osama has been killed and his body identified. Today marks a great milestone in history and hopefuly a new beginning in world politicts.

Yeah I read that about 45 minutes AGO....... Thank GOD that's all I got to say.

BUT, we all know someone will jump in and take his place.

This is just a form of closure and justice for people. The world isn't any safer now just because one terrorist is dead.

I am sorry he had to die. I don't believe in killing anyone its not our job. However he resisted and a fire fight was involved so this was probably the only way to take him.

I wish we could have caught him alive and put him out for the survives and family of victims of 911 beat him to almost death let him heal and beat him again.

I am praying that during this firefight he got on his knee's and prayed for forgiveness. I would hope that he might be able to walk through and shake hands with those he killed. I know this sounds bad that I wish him the best but I am always praying for those I dislike the most.....OK I wish I would pray more LOL

I pray for his victims and their families that they may now have closer.

It is very good that we caught him and that he may no longer lead any assaults. I just hope that this does not lead to the Taliban killing because of this.

EDIT: OH YEA VERY GOOD JOB TO THE US ARMED FORCES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wanted to say a lot, but for the sake of this thread I will just say that I'm glad he is no longer wasting our oxygen. Good job to the soldiers involved and I hope this brings some closure to the families that he affected. Not just the 9/11 victims, but all those who were caught up in his many other exploits.

Sadly this is only a moral victory. Others will line up to take his place.

This changes nothing and the USA have just risked their security. However he needed to be caught and it will put a message out that these evil terrorists can't hide for ever.

No doubt this has been planned for a long time.

Just delete this thread and continue life as normal, this bloke does not deserve the notoriety and continual media exposure.

My understanding is it was never a plan to take him alive. They fully intended to not take him as a prisoner. Interesting that they buried him at sea already.

I hope it is really true. Somehow I have a feeling there will be many conspiracy theories popping up over this. Especially since they got rid of the body so quickly, along with the timing.

I think it would have been a liability to keep him alive or to even keep his body. I can imagine the havok that would unfold were he kept prisoner somewhere. As far as the burial at sea, I dont think it was really that strange. Where would they bury him otherwise? The mission was to take him out. I think a burial at sea was probably the best option, not a conspiracy.

Burying him at sea - gives no grave to become a pilgrmage site.
Burying him with a day - is in line with Islamic law, thus giving one less bit of ammo for the naysayers.

I don't think the president would risk being wrong on this. I reckon he's really dead.

To quote a great American writer
"I've never wished a man dead, but I have read some obituaries with great pleasure."

I understand the reason they buried him at sea and agree that there should not a specific site. It just seems it was done very quickly in following Islamic law. As far as following honorable burial rituals I think its pretty safe to say he waved his right to a proper burial when he became a mass murderer. Maybe many Muslims would be insulted that he received an honorable burial? Did the politically correct police think of it from that angle?

You believe that propaganda? This stuff is straight 1984. Download a bit of George Carlin or Bill Hicks...

Isn't it funny how Obama waited to have Osama whacked during the build-up to his re-election campaign?

Don't you think muslims will pick a pilgrimage site anyway?
