Ok - we give up. Between the seven of us techs we have over the years tried to come up with ways of organizing RAM modules. Over 150 years of accumulated experience and can't come up with anything better then plastic shoe boxes. The modules are stored in static free bags labeled pc2100, pc2700, pc2-5300, etc.

Talk about time consuming. HELP - any ideas??????????????

Or this?

A local hardware store had RAM stored in one of these in their display case... one of the employees said the RAM comes packaged in those from the supplier, and while they didn't have any at the retail store, I could probably swing by their warehouse and pick one up for little to nothing as it's not considered inventory to them... just packaging.

+1 for docs idea. I purchased some ram from a bus seller on ebay a good few years ago, and they came in this packaging. It's still going strong now.

*slides open ram drawer and sees different speeds, voltages and memory timings then immediately closes door* one day i'll sort it...but today is not that day!

I'm still too much of a newbie to give reps yet but I like this idea!

Organizer Bin

These work perfectly for storing memory. The drawers are the exact length to hold DIMMs. We use two sets - one for desktop memory and one for laptop memory. Made up labels for each drawer with the size and speed - keeps everything organized and easy to find. We use the larger drawers for used memory.
