Hi folks,
Trying to share a folder through OneDrive and just getting the spinning wheel for well over 30 minutes.
Tried a different computer, same thing even when tethering laptop to mobile, just in case.
Any suggestion welcome
Cheers

Latest OneDrive sync client?
I'd guess so, Win10 fully updated, wouldn't that go along as well?
Windows 10 up to date?
Yep
Business or Personal account?
O365 family (one man band business, think it qualifies 😁)
Try the sharing online via browser?
Yep, that's where I was trying through Edge, didn't try Chrome though. Tried on a desktop and a laptop, same result.

No. You should download the OneDrive client.
Why? Win10 has Onedrive built in! It should be current all on its own.

Though I will admit I think that might be just because I use the office deployment kit on all systems at the time of install... so it might be Office updating all that.

Yep asked and answered. The office one will be newer.

Ahh I'll add that to the laundry list of things I'll never remember because it rarely matters!

As for the OP's issue, I will only point out that I just had an Exchange Online Plan 2 license expansion (4 to 5 seats), I made on FRIDAY MORNING 8-19 at 9:00am, take until SUNDAY EVENING 8-21 to push though. I have no idea when exactly over the weekend it finally provisioned... but it took an absolute age.

PAX8 support was complaining of long delays for several issue types during that time as they tried to help me with my ticket. But noticed the issue resolved itself before I did this morning.

So it's entirely possible that this issue might be a reflection of whatever is causing that slowdown...

So @Rigo before you go too nuts, just try it again? I've seen stranger things happen.

I'm sharing through the web via Edge not from the local folder, never tried sharing externally from the local folder.
And yes I had in the past installed the OneDrive client but never thought it might need updating separately since I ticked the box in Win Updt to take care of whatever it wanted to manage.
Ok, just checked and the client somehow had been removed, though the local folder still synched. So I re-installed and yes I now get the share popup through the app. But didn't resolve the web share problem.
Might need to clean-up the caches and try again.
Will report later
