Any way to extract the Office 2013 pro plus serial key I used Belarc and it only shows last 4 digits
setting up new computer

OK thanks I figured that was the case, will get her to do it thru her account but was hoping I could do it as she is useless.
Its says has to be activated before 22 Feb I think after that she can use it with popups

I know many people still on 2007

Yeap as others have stated, high security risk. Backup the .pst with FABS or manually, get the customer to upgrade. Let them know the risks involved in using an older product. I have also seen users using 2007, I refused to do anything unless they upgraded - too much hassle and risk.

2012 isn't a security risk, it's fully patched and with some registry work ADAL pops up.

But still, it's on the way out and not worth the time to find the license anymore.

I know you meant 2013.

But I don't know how you can say what you said here, which is completely true, yet take me to task for essentially saying the same thing in a different way on the Office 2021 topic.

The risks from using any in-support (and extended support counts) version of Office is about equal to using the latest version.

Micro$oft would love for everybody to upgraded to latest

She got this $20 special price thru school a one time for teachers, to buy the equivalent version you would not get much change from $400 cad
I have seen it for $50 on google search and I know of people that paid that price and its never been a problem I will not do it for a client

Try UVK Portable? It's 'System Info' tab is supposed to extract assorted Windows/Office product keys....but, I've not tried it with any Office products, sorry...

Will not work. Office 2013 and higher no longer stores the key in the registry. Only a hardware hash derived from the key. No tool can reveal a key that doesn’t exist. Don’t waste your time.

Yes the "Pro Plus" versions of Office are only available from institutions/companies. Teachers and students usually get it for free now, which is Office 365 with 2 years of use if not continuing with the institution (I think). If the customer is no longer a teacher then they aren't entitled to keep using that 2013 version anyway.
