I just received this email.. I wonder if its the same scammer as a couple months ago when I received a similar offer. Or, does this story get told by multiple scammers? Who knows?

"This email is in regard of the text you respond to. I have been
contracted to fix up some HP laptops but at the moment am in
WINTER PARK, FL attending to some other jobs. In view of this we
are looking to offer you this job and we want you to handle the
fixing of the laptops on agreed terms.

These are what need to be done on the laptops.

Format Hard Drive,
Instal Win 10,
Microsoft Office Package,
AVG Virus Software (Free Lifetime Updates)
Adobe Acrobat.

So if you are capable of handling this get back to me with the
total cost for handling each unit based on a total cost of 5 Units.

And i have all the necessary software and license needed for the service
installations, Please get back to me with your full name, address and
cell phone number immediately so that my secretary can prepare a cashier
check to you.

Note: I have a reliable agent who will be responsible for the
delivery of the laptops to you and also the pick up after you have
completed the job. A cashier check with excess amount on it will be sent
to you, all you need to do when you receive the cashier check is to get it
deposit and deduct your service charges for the 5 units and let me know when
you get it deposit so i can inform the delivery agent right away.

Yes common scam. Anything you get like this just delete and move on. Even tells you what the scam is. They are going to give you a cashiers check in excess of the amount of your services. Then you give the difference back to them. Then when the check doesn't clear you are on hook for the full amount.

I doubt it is the same scammer. There are millions of cons out there on the interwebs. No need to post here about each one you get dude. That will turn into a full-time job.
