Company uses a Nortel Call Pilot system which runs an EXE from an apache server (to the best of my knowledge).

The web interface is not showing full content: missing images (no big deal), poor rendering of tables (no big deal), and missing "submit" button (BIG deal).

Regardless of browser (IE6-11, FF 3X, Chrome, and with IE Tab enabled / disabled) I get the submit button being lost (FF just doesn't display anything, but in IE tab mode, I at least get the malformed html code).

Any thoughts?

I don't really have access to the html files to fix their coding...

Sorta stumped on this one.

Could be Java security issue. Try adding a site exception: Control Panel -> Java -> Security (tab) -> Edit Site List

I'd also add the IP to the local intranet sites list in internet options (security).

I don't really know how old the unit is... but it's been there for a long time, and using the web interface has gotten tougher over the years.

I've tried with IE6 and have gone up and down in java versions installs... (i.e., older java with older IE6, newer java with new Chrome and FF).

But I haven't tried adding an exception to the java CP...

I'll also try adding it to the trusted local intranet.

Thank you for the input!

I ended up replacing one of these units with a newer PBXIAF system after the Nortel just sort of decided not to accept new voicemail recordings. I would commit the change, click submit, whatever. Then it didn't change. Rebooted it a few times, same deal.

I looked at the stone age unit and said to the customer "this is not worth any more time."

I ended up power cycling the unit about 6 times in order to get the web server to load correctly...

On the 7th try, I was able to get the submit button working.

Definitely doesn't leave a good feeling.

I loathe seeing posts where the OP says "oh, I just rebooted, and it worked!". That is not a satisfying solution.

They have been put on notice that the unit should be serviced by someone who really knows this equipment, or be completely replaced.

Thank you for the input everyone!

These things are olllllllllldddd. Good idea to replace at the first sign of trouble. The only place I could find parts was ebay. Yuck!

Glad to hear you got it working though.
