A client has a Sony Vaio VPCEC25FD with Windows 7.1 Home 64-Bit, 4 GB RAM, fully updated.
The 'Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media' icon does not appear (visible or hidden) when she inserts a HD SD card.
It is formatted as FAT32.
A drive letter is assigned properly but there is no 'eject' in the context sensitive menu in Windows Explorer.
Also, when I try to run 'USB_DISK_Eject.exe' for the drive an error message is displayed that there is no mount point.
Lastly, the 'Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media' icon does appear properly for USB flash drives.
This specific card does mount properly in a 6 year-old Sony Inspiron notebook (for example).
All suggestions are appreciated.
