No display on a Toshiba Equium A300D-13X

I've got a problem with the above laptop. It boots fine but with no LCD display. I have replaced the inverter and the display with no change. Initially it did display a faint image but with crackling from the screen(reported by the client). If I plug the old screen on another laptop it does crackle so that's finished I'm sure. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the inverter input so I can test the voltages in or the pin to pin wiring to test the cable with a meter? Are the input cables from motherboard to inverter input standard between laptops?

You ordered the right inverter right?

Also, if you haven't, check the gpu for the hell of it.

I think we are all assuming it works. Does the system show up with an external monitor?

Sorry missed it out on the original post, works fine on a monitor. Yes correct inverter and tried two new ones as well.

Yes I was having trouble finding a cable so wanted the pin outs to see if it was that. The old one looked fine but one came up on Ebay yesterday, got delivered today and worked.
