Next Year, Your Computer Will Automatically Prompt You to Upgrade to Windows 10

"We will soon be publishing Windows 10 as an “Optional Update” in Windows Update for all Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 customers."

No, you already have it as an OPTIONAL update that is CHECKED, so that if someone does a manual update it will install. I just did a Win 7 reinstall this week and after all the updates, you go in and see that Win10 is CHECKED so that if you do a manual install, you are going to get it. You, MS, said that was a mistake a week or two ago and promised to remove it, so why is it still happening with new installs ?

I have worked on SO many Windows 10 computers lately and to be fair, it's fast as **** with Outlook. I used to have to wait 10-15 min to move data, now on W10, decent ram and Outlook 2016, that data is whizbang'in. I helped a client yesterday and said, "I think you have the best machine I have ever worked on". He said, "Really? Thanks!"

I meant it too. Now I am tempted to upgrade the command center.

Worked on a machine with 7, it shows up under optional updates, I attempted to hide it, but when you check for updates, it appears selected again.

Makes me wonder if the author of GWX Control Panel is going to have to update the program even more. Which he probably will do.

I don't mind Windows 10. Matter of fact I have it on my field laptop and show it to clients when I go on site. Helps them get an idea what they are getting into. But I love Windows 7 on my personal machine. Still my favorite choice. Probably going to do a Windows 10 upgrade to my wife machine should help it out more.
