Newsletter in print/email

1) We need a volunteer to create a "Techy" newsletter template
2) We need a volunteer to gather all monthly article submissions then mail them to everyone in the group
3) We need to agree on types of articles (how to's, software hardware reviews, tips and tricks, get things for "free", etc)
4) we need agreement on how to use the newsletter (i.e. clients only or mass distribution?) (Competition clause: Give credit to authors? or just first last names)
5) Each person will be responsible for customizing the template with their own company logo/additional information

Thats all I can think of for now, anyone else have thoughts?

1. ) I think both ideas are good. We can have some templates that people can use, or they can do their own.

2.) I think a forum is our best option. That way nobody has to be "in charge" of making sure everyone gets the articles. Everyone will be responsible for visiting the forum and submitting new articles and retrieving articles for their use. We can have a thread for each month of articles so it's easy to keep track. We can all be in charge of making sure each member has submitted an article say, every 2-3 months. If not, they could be warned and lose access to forum if they cannot contribute. Or something like that.

3.) Agreed, we should agree on types of topics.

4.) I say credit goes to the author. It's only fair. obviously the agreement will be that if you contribute articles you are giving permission for them to be published, but I think author names should be in the newsletters.

This would also mean that nobody is allowed to put their name on an article they didn't write, or plagiarize the article and use it for other purposes without the authors consent.

5.) Yes everyone should be allowed flexiblity to customize the newsletter as they see fit.

I love newsletters the only issue I have is the 18 I get emailed, they all bleed together its like reading the same thing over and over again. My only question is what would make me read yours? This is very important to look at, I mean printed press is awsome for waiting rooms, but electronic I just put a few up on my spam list, because they are so grey and alike. You all are great posters here, but can you do it in a newletter, can you do it with out being like the other million bloggers\newsletters out there? I love reading the posts, this is a super idea, but how will you add color to this, and if you passing this off to future clients how will you own this to profit on this? I will love to contribute to this, but I have no orignal ideas no on how to help, just questions.
