New video cards with usb c

Seems new video cards are now shipping with usb c connector replacing 3rd display port.



New high end monitors also have usb c port as well.


RX 6800 xt benchmarks are higher than RTX 3090 core clocks can be overclocked much higher as well good thing about amd cards very poor bitcoin mining ability.

The USB-C is aimed at VR so you can power a headset and send video over a single cable. Really nice idea.

My 2080ti has a usb c, it's not new with this latest generation.

Ya, old news... USB-C started coming on the NVIDIA 10-series.. and like @SAFCasper said, its reason for appearing on video cards is VR.

EDIT: The USB-C port was given a marketing name "VirtualLink" - Which has fallen out of favor to DisplayPort
