This fall semester I took Web Design and Publishing (basic HTML & CSS), which my BS in computer networking requires. In the past few days I've become very interested in it as I began working on a webpage project that takes the place of our final exam. It involves creating a basic webpage with three other students.
I would like suggestions for learning materials that I can use to further my web development education. For now, I'd like to get more hands on experience with basic HTML and CSS so I can have a strong foundation before exploring more advanced web dev. code such as Javascript, PHP, etc.
I would like links to sites (I have been using W3's site) as well as textbooks. I would like to get a textbook that takes me to the next step (beyond basic, but far from advanced) when I'm ready. Also, I'd like to explore using Adobe DreamWeaver.
Next year I'll be taking Java, Javascript, and Web Development classes.
Let me know you're suggestions for developing my web dev. skills
#1 thing I'm looking for is a really awesome textbook
