New logo opinions...

The artist was instructed to make a logo that matches the website but for the logo to have an honest trustworthy welcoming feel to it.

The phone number placement is mine but i'm still trying to perfect that. What are your opinions on the logo?

I would say it gives me the "honest and trustworthy feel". I found out the best advice is usually best given from friends or those in your family. Give them a look and ask which they like better.

LOL, I was going to say that too! After a closer look it was a thumbs up, but at first glance I thought he was giving the bird.


One thing that screams stupid (No doubt because I am a tech) is the Mac Screen slider with the Windows BlueScreen.

You know that gives me an idea. I will make a modified version with downwards angry eye brows that really does give people the finger and next to it ill put "GO $#@! YOURSELF" maybe even an animated gif that moves his eye brows into the mean look and changed from thumb to the middle finger.

I will put this new logo on a hidden page and direct every spam emailer/caller to that website.

...but all kidding aside do you guys like the new logo better or the original?

Personally I like the old one better. To me the new logo doesn't look professional made. It looks professional and has the feel you wanted but if I was paying for this I would want more. Hope that makes sense.

I understand, he does specialize in simplistic drawn design though so I think I would feel bad asking him to start from scratch again. Do you have any idea of an enhancement for his current design? My creativity level is some where below 0 so I don't have any ideas. This is probably his most detailed logo in his portfolio:

The first things that come to mind for me keep in mind my creativity is right where yours is. I would have the guy with his hand out for a hand shake instead of a thumbs up it is more welcoming.
His square head reminds me of johnny bravo and it is hard to make out the black hair on the blue background. Maybe make the background circle all the way round instead of half way. Also I don't think it is 100% clear he is leaning on a computer maybe that could be enhanced I was thinking adding a little power button. I like that innkeeper design.

No I had the same thought. I really had to look at it because first impression is of the bird not thumbs up.

Yeah I was thinking the same about the hair on that background. I will ask him if he has some ideas on making that stand out. I was also thinking about asking for a power button.

I will definitely have to request some enhancements to the hand since so many of you have mentioned thinking it was the guy giving the finger at first glance lol.

Changed the right hand a little bit...I didn't even notice how blocky it was until someone pointed it out to me.

Edit: looks like this thread is done with, I realized it was unwise of me to be posting high res copies of the logo outside of technicians eyes only area.

Yeah someone already mentioned that. Finding replacement art hasnt been easy I think im going to leave it as is but if I think of anything ill swap it out. I tried a few other monitors but it didnt look right.
