Yo dudez
My pretty pitiful/ stunningly aweful website is getting a major overhaul......
snipped....
Good grief! You weren't kidding about the website. You've just HAD to be losing potential customers because of it. Is this your business, or does someone else own it?
And sorry, but not one of those three logo possibilities communicate anything worthwhile. The boyfriend has artistic talent, I'll give him that. But you need to grab him by the scruff, explain what you do for a living, and send him back to the drawing board to develop some ideas that actually incorporate your profession and goals rather than have to be explained or merely accepted.
If the best thing that can be said of a logo is it "reduces quite well" you need to move on to the next one.
And If you're really looking at it from the "branding angle", you should dump Originalscan. Unless scanning is still a significant part of your business, it's a complication/confusion that I'd have no desire to overcome. Handled correctly, your existing customers will still tag along with you after rebranding and you can stop losing potential customers confused or put off by the name and poor website.
Redesigning, replanning, rethinking - this is the time to make bold changes. Find a better name, improve your website, start drawing in the business that has certainly been put off, or at least confused, by the design and name.
