So sittin' at the barbers on Saturday waiting to get my 13 hairs cut...flippin' through Car 'n Driver.

May need to win a couple of lottos to buy this one....
Koenigsegg One:1

Bumps the Hennesey off the top of the charts for fastest top speed...273 MPH.
One megawatt of power! (or 1341 hp, 1011 lb/ft...detuned on regular old E85..they had it higher, and it can make more with better gas)

Uhm...2.8 million dollars!

Made 6 so far..and all sold already....need to produce 30 to claim official title of fastest production car and looking like they'll do it.
 
Yeah, I read that. That car is insanely fast! Makes the Veyron look tepid!

The HP wars have been going strong for a while now.
 
Problem is, hate to take the time to drive out to the Salt Flats to enjoy that kind of speed. I wonder what company would insure a car of that 'value'?
If I'm going to go fast I would spend my money on a motorcycle that does 0-60 in under 3 sec, but I'm too old and too much of a sissy to go that fast. I'm looking to upgrade to a cycle that will do maybe 150 not 210 mph...

Yeah, insurance company rules may have changed after this case of fraud....guy drove his Bugatti Veyron (that he bought for 1 mil) into the water, had it insured for 2.2mil. He got filmed by someone who posted on social media and the insurance company found the video....and bagged him for fraud.

Nah... the thrill is over in a matter of seconds lol

Zero to 60 mph: 2.5 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 4.5 sec - quickest way to lose $2000 when caught speeding
Standing ¼-mile: 9.0 sec
Top speed: 273 mph - free entry to the State prison included

Admittedly they would have to catch you, but then this is a Swedish Hype car, and the Stig did break one once if I remember? Think it was the CCX - fastest lawn mower ever lol ;)

Awesome car, and I mean properly awesome, in the original meaning of the word.


Yet Sweden seems such an unlikely place for such a supercar to emerge from.


Coincidently, I'm driving a Swedish car myself today. Took my S8 to the garage this morning to have some work done on it and I was given a Swedish courtesy car .... sadly it's a Saab though, not a Koenigsegg.
