I was in need of some new business cards and wanted to get others opinions before putting the order in. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated!

Actually, I kind of like your card. The grey logo is a bit nebulous, but gives the card depth and with the black, makes your logo and lettering pop. I am no designer, but you might want to think about enlarging the red & white logo a bit. Interesting how "on" buttons seem to be the new fad in advertizing. I like the QR code as well.

Overall I like the design. I think that you did a good job of keeping it simple which is difficult for many people to do. I think it looks professional and does a good job of helping to gain the confidence of potential new customers. Great job!

Very nice! Great colors and well organized. Only thing I would change is make the phrase "Computer Repair and Support Services" in white instead of red for readability, or maybe a slight white glow/dropshadow around the phrase. Red starts getting a little hard to read on a dark background sometimes.

I would change the dark background... give is a dark feeling. You may want to use the back for advertising: add services or benefits/why you, etc.

I think the QR code would look nicer on the back. Also, be sure that phones can read the code that small. You'd be surprised how big the logo has to be for a phone to read it properly.

Here are my latest edits based on the suggestions given that I agree with. Thanks for you opinions!

  • Added a dropshadow to the logo and all text
  • Moved QR code to the back and enlarged it
  • I also shrank the background power logo so it was not covered/lost in the main logo. You can actually see what it is now.

Other than the QR, the back contributes nothing to your marketing effort. There's no point in just duplicating what's already on the front.

Expand on what you've started on the front of the card. Include a list of services, or a memorable catchphrase, or a map to your location or ????

+1 to this. I think another TN member recently left one side with several blank lines so they could write "10%-off tune up" or stuff like that.

Very nice. ;) So you're showing us the front & back? BTW, what will you be charged for both sides (say 500) printed?

Yep that is the front and back. I use a local print company and it costs me approx $20 per 500 for front and back, full color and UV protected glossy coating.

I do agree with you, but want to keep the card simple. I am avoiding having a card with a ton of info on it. I have found that if you list residential services, then some business shy away from it when you hand it to them, and vice versa. I provide residential and business services and want a card that is suitable for both.

That is true, and i agree. Keep it simple and sell your services through your brochures. Get them to call first and talk to them, people are more willing to get their services done by someone that they are talking to and feel comfortable with. Whereas they will see a price or a list of services and say no right off the bat or feel overwhelmed.

One thing i would do to the business card and i know this may cost a pretty penny, would be to have the dots in the background raised or recessed. It gives an overall feel to the card. Or even have the speed wise logo gloss and the background matte black with the text gloss like the logo. Giving it a different feel from the usual gloss or paper card
