i agree with desert. as long as the drives are mechanical they will need defragmenting. however doing it too often is rather useless. once every second month as part of my general maintanence including dust cleaning and anti-v running etc. more than that is useless unless your moving large amounts of data around every day. also its generaly somthing i do for clients before i hand back there pc along with running an anti-v and giving the pc a good clean. going that extra mile for a customer is what makes them want to come back next time and often ive had cases where the pc hasnt been defraged for years or even ever and it makes a noticable improvement to the running of the machine.
