Need to recover data

I have a hard drive that crapped out on me. It partition C and D. The D drive I can get to but when I click on the C it want to format it. Under propteies its label as a RAW. Is there a way I can get the data off it. Its urgent

Try use some data recovery software, people in this forum will recommend all different kinds. A popular one is get data back. but there are heaps of paid and free solutions.

I like EasUS Data Recovery Wizard. It's not free but it's well worth the cost.

Use it to make an image of the drive, then recover from the image.

GetDataBack has an option to specify the file system to recover. Has never let me down.

I may as well point this out as no-one has so far; before attempting a recovery you should clone the drive (a sector-by-sector copy to another drive)

I too like Easeus DR Wizard Pro....it was only $89 and paid for itself the first time I used it.

I managed to snag a copy of an early version of Easeus DR Wizard Pro on a free giveaway they ran and it has worked like a charm. Makes me feel guilty every time I use it, but not guilty enough to upgrade, which wouldn't be free.

Find and mount pro would be the easiest/fastest tool to use in this instant its worth the money slave in hard drive to another pc use find and mount pro create an image ,put hd back in original system then re-image done.
